-What kind of store is "Contrale Market by ALCENTRO"?
This dining cafe offers an extraordinary atmosphere where you can enjoy the feeling of being overseas. The name "Contrale" comes from the contrail, a contrail that made us feel excited and thrilled as children. We have focused on creating a décor that stimulates the playful side of adults, freeing us from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the pressures of work. The cafe is bustling with a wide range of customers, from mothers with children to office workers on their way home from work, on weekdays and holidays.

A store where you can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience something extraordinary
-The interior of the store is very stylish. Was there a particular place that served as a motif?
Enjoying leisurely conversation while savoring delicious food. We imagined French terrace seating and British pubs, where such food culture is deeply rooted. The restaurant has an open space with no partitions, and the vintage-style street lamps, outdoor staircases, antique tools and other decorations give the feeling of stepping into a European town. We also paid particular attention to creating a comfortable space, arranging striking antique furniture and comfortable sofas.

The spacious interior also features comfortable sofa seating.
-What kind of food can you enjoy?
They have a wide variety of cheese-based dishes, including cheese fondue and risotto. One of the most popular dishes among female customers is the "Tanzawa Cheese Napolitan" made with thick pasta. The thick handmade noodles are made with "Hadano's famous water," which has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters, and are left to rest for a day to develop a chewy texture that goes perfectly with the Napolitan. Finishing the dish with a generous amount of their signature creamy cheese, the cheese and sauce cling to the noodles, allowing you to enjoy a rich flavor until the last bite.

The popular menu item is "Tanzawa Neapolitan," made using the famous water of Hadano.
We also offer a variety of dishes that make use of the richness of local ingredients, such as butter chicken soup curry with plenty of onions grown in Hadano's famous water, and Western-style ramen made with wheat grown in Hadano.
While eating what each person likes, they can lose track of time and enjoy conversation.
-What do you think of Kanai Sake Brewery's sake?
In order to support local products, we serve "Shirasasa Tsuzumi Kinjo" sake from Kanai Sake Brewery, Hadano's only sake brewery. It's popular among men and older customers. We also serve it in a wine glass, calling it "rice wine," to fit in with the European atmosphere. We recommend pairing it with our "Three Kinds of Prosciutto Platter," featuring Ashigara Beef and Yamayuri Pork from Kanagawa Prefecture. The salty prosciutto and the umami flavor of the sake permeate your mouth, offering a taste that's a little different from your usual evening drink.

Prosciutto made with ingredients from Kanagawa Prefecture is recommended for pairing with sake.
-I heard that you are involved in various initiatives to revitalize the local community. What kind of activities are you involved in?
I have been actively involved in activities related to the development of Hadano, including serving as editor-in-chief of the free magazine "kokohada" and as representative of the local community "kokohada LAB." I also bring together people from different professions and backgrounds to discuss Hadano's future in a positive way and to turn the ideas they come up with into reality. Examples include "HANOCHA," a craft beer made with Hadano tea, and "Shin Tobacco Ondo," a Japanese-style rock arrangement of the traditional folk song "Hadano Tobacco Ondo." These are the fruits of the community's unified efforts. Through these activities, I have come to realize that a city can change dramatically depending on how people communicate with each other. I hope to continue working hard to ensure that "Contrale Market by ALCENTRO" continues to serve as a community space where everyone can relax and talk about a bright future.
