Products from a popular mountain in Omote Tanzawa that are only available in Hadano city and online.
"Yamazakura Tonodake" and "Yamazakura Ybitsu Toge" are sakes inspired by outdoor leisure activities such as mountain climbing, glamping, solo camping, and barbecues, as well as the blessings of Tanzawa as a terroir*.
Tonodake is located at the point connecting Hadano City, Kiyokawa Village, and Yamakita Town, and is the most popular mountain in Omote-Tanzawa. Although it is not particularly high in altitude, the steep terrain offers a diverse topographical environment, allowing visitors to encounter a variety of creatures, including rare plants and wild birds. This time, we designed a "blue-and-white flycatcher" for Tonodake and a "leech" for Ybitsu Pass.
We have bottled our pride and joy, sake, in a bottle with a label that evokes admiration and affection. While thinking of the rich natural surroundings, please enjoy this sake made from the abundant underground water that flows from the Tanzawa Mountains, one of Japan's most famous water sources. We hope you will pick it up as a companion for outdoor leisure activities, or as a gift or souvenir for a close friend.
*Terroir: Originally a French word meaning "land," the word describes the unique characteristics and influence of a place brought about by its soil, climate, topography, and technology, and refers to natural elements that are not solely under human control.
